Early Life and Career

Allan-Roméo Nyom was born on May 10, 1988, in Nkongsamba, Cameroon. He began his youth career with local club Kadji Sports Academy before moving to French side Nancy in 2006. Nyom spent five seasons with Nancy, making over 100 appearances for the club.

Professional Career

In 2011, Nyom joined La Liga club Granada. He quickly established himself as a regular starter and played a key role in the team's successful 2013-14 season, which saw them finish fourth and qualify for the Europa League.

After three seasons with Granada, Nyom moved to Watford in 2015. He spent four years at the English club, making over 100 appearances and helping them achieve promotion to the Premier League in his first season.

In 2019, Nyom joined Getafe, where he played for two years. He made over 50 appearances for the Spanish club and helped them reach the Copa del Rey semi-finals in 2020.

International Career

Nyom has been a regular member of the Cameroon national team since 2011. He has represented his country at two FIFA World Cups (2014 and 2022) and two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments (2019 and 2022).

Playing Style and Current Status

Nyom is a versatile defender who can play as a right-back, center-back, or right midfielder. He is known for his strength, speed, and aerial ability. Nyom currently plays for Spanish club Leganés in the Segunda División.
