NYC's Intrepid Museum Draws 1M Visitors in Past Month

Historic Aircraft Carrier and Space Shuttle Entertain and Educate

Museum Sees Surge in Attendance After Reopening

New York City's Intrepid Museum has seen a surge in attendance since reopening in May, welcoming over 1 million visitors in the past month. The museum's centerpiece, the historic aircraft carrier USS Intrepid, has been a popular draw, along with the Space Shuttle Enterprise, which is on display on the ship's flight deck.

The museum's director, Susan Marenoff-Zausner, attributes the increase in attendance to the museum's expanded offerings and its unique combination of history and technology. "People are eager to get out and explore, and the Intrepid Museum offers a fun and educational experience for all ages," she said.

In addition to the USS Intrepid and the Space Shuttle Enterprise, the museum also features a collection of historic aircraft, a submarine, and a planetarium. Visitors can also take immersive virtual reality tours of the aircraft carrier and the space shuttle.

The Intrepid Museum is located at Pier 86 on the West Side of Manhattan. It is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
