Borussia Dortmund Through to Champions League Semi-Finals

Stunning Second-Half Comeback Secures Victory

Dortmund, Germany

Borussia Dortmund have defied the odds to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 11 years. The German club produced a remarkable second-half comeback to beat Atletico Madrid 4-2 on the night and 5-4 on aggregate.

The match was evenly poised at 1-1 going into the break, but Dortmund came out firing in the second half. Goals from Erling Haaland, Marco Reus, and Jude Bellingham put the hosts in full control.

Yannick Carrasco pulled one back for Atletico to give the visitors hope, but Axel Witsel sealed the victory with a stunning strike from outside the box.

Dortmund's victory sets up a mouth-watering semi-final clash with either Liverpool or Villarreal. The first leg will be played on April 25, with the return leg taking place on May 2.

Dortmund's fans will be dreaming of a return to the Champions League final, which they last reached in 2013. The German club is now one step closer to lifting the trophy for the first time since 1997.
